Background of the project
Climate induced natural disasters are occurring more frequently in greater intensities by which coastal ethnic and marginalized communities are suffering most but the struggle and miseries are not explored to ensure justice. Along with climate change, COVID-19 experts pressure on coastal people in terms of livelihood security, health burden and rights violation. Community radio can play a vital role to uphold the voice of community developing and broadcasting region specific content of climate change impact and injustice. To develop capacity of community radio journalist, the fund is most important.
Project aim
The aim of the project is to explore the climate justice and COVID-19 rights violation of coastal ethnic communities of Bay of Bengal in Bangladesh
Objectives
The objective of the project is to build capacity of community radio journalists as climate and COVID-19 advocates in of local level justice influencing and community awareness reporting.
